Featuring the work of the Colorado based Boundless Fiber Artists group, the show is a fabulous demonstration of how different artists can be inspired. Taking a pair of theater curtains that were due to be thrown away, the artists cut up the curtains and divided the pieces among themselves. Each made a quilt with their piece and the results are now on the wall at the Firehouse. Come and be amazed at the diversity of ideas on show!

Also showing now is an exhibition of works by Christine Broers, fiber artist and S L Broers Brown, a mixed media artist, of images of Longs Peak.

for young designers to meet, network, and show their work in public.

It has turned into a massive celebration, with events happening in
hundreds of cities around the world, inspiring creatives worldwide.
Drawing its name from the Japanese term for the sound of "chit chat," it
rests on a presentation format that is based on a simple idea: 20
images x 20 seconds. It's a format that makes presentations concise, and
keeps things moving at a rapid pace.

2012 PKN event dates at the Firehouse Art Center:

In 1986, the original firehouse was renovated into an art center for art classes for disabled children. This service to the community grew over the years to include a variety of classes for children and adults, fulfilling the mission of the Old Firehouse: education through art. Visual art exhibitions in the main gallery were added to provide opportunities for outstanding local and regional artists to show their work.

Help the Firehouse Art Center contribute to our community!

Our 25th Anniversary reception will be a fundraiser and we hope to raise enough money to launcyh a new program working with Title 1 elementary schools in the Longmont area.

Space is limited - we want to save you a spot. Please respond by Friday, October 14.
