“Kiln” is derived from the Latin word “culina” (kitchen), and “Kitchens” are the places where people gather to create community. “Kiln Kitchen” celebrates our Firehouse Ceramics community. For more info on each member and for item pricing please refer to the exhibit signage.

The exhibition contains a wide variety of works from conceptual ceramic forms, to more conventional functional forms, to technical expressions through glaze and surface treatments. The Ceramics Member showcase is open to all members to participate, allowing Firehouse guests to see artists that might not come through the normal channels of curating.

The Firehouse Art Center ceramics studio is located on the second floor of the Firehouse. This community space hosts youth and adult classes that explore wheelthrowing, handbuilding, and a variety of glazing techniques.
