SOUTH GALLERY – “TEXTURED”
FEBRUARY 10, 2023 – MARCH 5, 2023
FEATURING WORKS BY: ALICIA MCKIM, PATRICIA AARON AND DIANE DEYO
This exhibit examines and explores our relationship with our ever-changing landscape through a diverse range of materials and applications. Masks and beaded works by Diane Deyo reflect her love of nature and travel – specifically her time in Africa visiting her son. The work combines pattern and form found in traditional African fabrics, masks, and ceremonies. Materials include acrylic, oil pastel, beads, and found objects.
The collaborative monoprints by Alicia McKim and Patricia Aaron look to the North – presenting the vast and extreme Wyoming and Yellowstone landscapes through rich layers of encaustic pigments and mixed media, applied to custom birch panels.

JILL RUMLEY
“The inspiration for my artwork comes from what I see in the world, the moments in time that seem to slip away quickly. I have a colorful view of the world. I use a liberal play of color and the color of my humor. I want the audience to feel lighthearted and experience a sense of being entertained.” -Rumley
