Writers Workshop- Join the Firehouse Art Center Writers for a helpful, all levels, writers workshop. The event may include read throughs, prompts, sharing and more. There will be a facilitator.
Poetry Night- Join the Firehouse Art Center Writers for our Monthly Last Friday Poetry Night. Poetry is an opportunity; it gives us the chance to celebrate and commemorate all the wonderful moments in our lives from the simplest smiles to the most momentous victories. It also enables us to cope in challenging times. With poetry, we can address our problems, come to terms with them, and work to grow past them. It has the potential to move across the spectrum of human experience in a cathartic and often beautiful way. Please only read original work.
These events are free but the Firehouse Art Center, as a 501c3 non-profit organization, always appreciates donations!
FILMMAKERS MEETUPS
Join Firehouse Filmmakers for our First Tuesday Film events, happening on the first Tuesday of each month. Whether you’re totally new to filmmaking or a seasoned pro looking for new skills and inspiration, we’ve got workshops, screenings, and social events that are designed to help you expand your filmmaking practice. Previous events have included cinematography workshops, special guest filmmakers, social events at local breweries, and animation classes. ARTISTS CIRCLE
2ND MONDAY OF THE MONTH- 12:30PM-3:30PM
This is a casual and fun meetup with the goal of working on individual projects while sharing creative energies, inspiration, and conversation in a casual, supportive gathering. All interested individuals are invited to bring whatever creative project they have in process to work on. No fees. Donations to The Firehouse are welcomed but not required. Bring a friend or meet new ones. If you have any questions and/ or think you might come, please send a text to Kathy Hall at 303-746-0629 so we know approximately how many to set up for. Thank you.
